”Anne Heinsvig and I are colleagues from Gubi where we used to work together. When I look back at all the people I have worked with at Paustian and Gubi, Anne must be one of those who moved me the most professionally. She was so much better than me. And that’s still how I feel. There are some people whose sense of style and design makes you feel absolutely at ease. And that is exactly my perception of Anne’s style and the products she creates. Anne has made one of the best selling products of our Pilestræde shop – the pillows. Apart from that, we have also tried to make lots of things, which, as it turned out, were too taxing to set into production. Anne was probably subject to our early inexperience with furniture production,
because she was, like Jakob Wagner, one of the first designers we worked with. Anne’s form language is humane, accommodating and uncomplicated – without being wide-eyed. There is no hot air to any of Anne’s work, quite on the contrary – Anne is keeping it very real. She has an intellectual and developing style which make her choices and form language spot on and her style wonderfully contemporary.” |
