Erik Jørgensen (1928-1998) was trained upholsterer and saddler. In 1954 he founded Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik where he combined his skills as a craftsman as well as his good understanding of materials with new functionalist design trends. When architects designed new furniture for
Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik, Erik Jørgensen always took
part in the process. He also sat at the drawing board himself and several of his sofa designs are classics today. |
