Marianne Wegner
(1947)
Marianne Wegner’s work has gone via architecture (master candidate in 1973) over furnishing to furniture design. After 20 years as an employee she assumed the leadership of her father Hans J. Wegner’s design studio in 1993. She thus became responsible for the preservation of the quality level and possible adjustments of the design of the 130 pieces of furniture currently in production, and for reintroductions.
In parallel she has designed complementary products such as individually adapted meeting tables for board rooms, museums and government buildings.
The elliptical extension table CH325 is her first piece of furniture designed for serial production. |
