On September 18, Kim Nielsen, Olga Nielsen, Richard Moses and Winnie Wei attended the Creative Nation event at Takashimaya in New York City. Kim met the Crown Prince & Princess of Denmark and presented our seven Designer Series 7 chairs that we had on display. Also displayed from our showroom were several Poul Kjaerholm PK 22 chairs, Arne Jacobsen's White Leather Egg chair and a Poul Kjaerholm PK61 glass table.
The Creative Nation campaign in New York City was designed to bring together Danish and US business leaders under the theme "Working Together Towards Sustainability".
Creativity is the cornerstone of the Danish economy. Danish companies are renowned for generating ideas and fostering innovation. By encouraging a spirit of openness, and by providing frameworks that enable people to realize their potentials, Danish organizations can boast some of the world's most motivated and innovative employees.
Today's globalized economy presents unprecedented opportunities - and challenges. Making the most of those opportunities requires new thinking and a willingness to adapt and adjust to the dynamics of a fluctuating, fracturing market. That is why Creative Nation believes so strongly in the collaboration process. The event brought together like-minded organizations, who networked together and shared knowledge. The conference "Working Together Towards Sustainability" strengthens the bonds between American and Danish businesses.
