CHIEFTAINS chair - FJ4900

Finn Juhl

This chair designed by Finn Juhl is probably the designers most distinctive and important creation. It certainly is the most well-known chair designed for the Cabinet maker's exhibition in Copenhagen in 1949. At the exhibition, the designer showed that he was heavily influenced by primitive utilitarian objects. It is not known,however, if this is where he got the name, "Chieftan's Chair"
