Originally, this chair was drawn by Hans J. Wegner for the DSB (Danish Rail) ferries who, incidentally, chose another one of Wegner's chairs, namely the PP 208. Subsequently, he continued working on the design and in 1987 PP Mobler started the production of PP 58/68. The chair is based on simplicity, durability and functionality. Wegner has made an object to be used and nothing more. It is quite simply a chair. With the PP 58/68, Wegner created a comfortable dining room chair, which suits long, cozy evenings around the dining table. Unlike most of Wegner's chairs, the PP 58/68 has no armrests and fits neatly under the table.
