In 1958, the Swan was a technologically innovative chair. No straight lines, only curves. A molded shell of synthetic material on an aluminum star swivel base. A layer of cold foam covers the shell, and fabric or leather in a wide range of colors is added. The Swan, Egg and Swan sofa were designed in 1958 for the lobby and lounge areas in the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.

Swan chair is now available also with seat height 18.9" that allows it to be used as a dining chair.

ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF THE SWAN CHAIR

To honor this remarkable piece of furniture, Fritz Hansen has produced a unique and limited series, consisting of 1,958 pieces.

The limited edition Swan is upholstered in a delicate swan-white color finest leather exclusively selected for this Swan. The base comes in a pearl-white color which completes the sophisticated expression of the delicate Swan. Each chair is provided with a numbered ring in Sterling silver.
