By envisioning EJ 20 professor Jorgen Gammelgaard (1938-1991) has cleverly accentuated the contrast between stern masculine exterior and soft feminine interior. The exterior shell supports the soft cushions, which have all been afforded extra volume due to the thinness of the under-frame. The curve of the firm armrest, which is repeated in the loose cushion, creates an unexpected effect, which helps give the sofa its look of suppleness, as well as under-lining its singularity. Jorgen Gammelgaard was one of the most talented and versatile designers in Denmark. From 1987 until his death, he was a professor at The Academy of Fine Arts. Seat and back covers identical. Down cover or cold cured polyurethane foam. We recommend down cover for leather and polyurethane for fabric. The covers are frame fixed, the cushions are removable. Cushions with piping. The options for the legs Beech/mahogany, mahogany, mat chrome, mat/knurled.
