The shape of the seat has given the name to the series of UFO stools and bar stools. Here experiments with acrylic have been made giving an extra dimension to the seat by means of a frosted under side and a glossy top side. The acrylic seat is available in several semi–transparent colors, while the center of the seat is in black plastic. The seat is fastened to a slightly curved, chromed steel base, which gives the stool a high rate of stability.
