Breakthrough Danish Designer Kasper Salto’s “Little Friend” Table
Kasper Salto was trained as a cabinetmaker and graduated in 1994 as a
designer from the Danish Design School. He has designed the Little Friend
to match the needs of the modern lifestyle. A small multi-purpose table for
laptops or other kinds of use - listening to music, books and magazines etc.
The top has a cut-out carrier handle and its light weight makes it easy to
move around. The top is only 6 mm thick, in white or black compact laminate
and with a base in chromed and polished aluminum. One version has fixed
height; the other version is height-adjustable - push down the button and
the table moves smoothly up or down. |

Making the Famed Hans J. Wegner “Peacock Chair”
The Peacock chair, PP550, is designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by
PP Møbler. This chair starts with the solid Danish Ash wood. Craftsmen
cut, sand and assemble the wood by hand. The craftsmen do have a little
help from a CNC machine. PP Møbler only produces 70 of these chairs a year, and only to order. |
